Philosophy
Eve Rachel Markewich and Lawrence Rosenstock created Markewich and Rosenstock LLP because they understand the concept of synergy. Having worked together in another firm for twenty years, Markewich and Rosenstock recognized that their complementary styles served their clients best when they worked as a team, rather than each of them representing different clients at the same time.
An important part of the philosophy of this unique Firm is that the client works with the Partnership, not just the individual lawyers. This allows different perspectives to be raised, and enables the client to benefit from the combined experience and analysis of both partners.
Markewich and Rosenstock firmly believes in the duality of the lawyer’s role as counsellor-at-law and litigator. The Partners understand that the people they represent are just that—people, or businesses owned by people. They will tirelessly and tenaciously fight on their clients’ behalf, but they also take account of the toll that trial can take on clients, their families and business, and the Firm seeks alternative resolutions when appropriate.
While Eve and Larry have been the face of the Firm since its inception in 2006, they employ associates and staff who are fully dedicated to the Firm philosophy, and integral to the Firm’s excellent product.
History
Eve Markewich and Larry Rosenstock have been close friends and colleagues for almost 30 years. Although Eve grew up on Manhattan’s West Side, and Larry was raised in Albany, each comes from a family of lawyers. They share a pride in the profession, and a dedication to maintaining its highest standards.
Together, Eve and Larry are endlessly creative in finding innovative approaches to each case they face. They work in tandem, in a process that clients have noted is “seamless”, so that each case receives Eve and Larry’s individual and combined strengths.
The Firm’s consistency and dedication have earned high regard and a stellar reputation in both the Supreme Courts and the Surrogates’ Courts, as well as the Appellate courts in New York State.
